Paul Dano is my favorite actor! He's really funny, played in a lot of my favorite pieces of media...and overall he's just the best :3

Paul Dano was first introduced into the world of media when, in 1996, he was cast as Edgar in the musical 'Ragtime', and then, in the 2000s, he was cast in 'the Sopranos' which, in my opinion, was his jumpstart of being an actor.

His first record-breaking film was 'L.I.E,' which came out in 2001. After this role, he was cast in 'Too Young to be a Dad', 'Taking Lives,' 'The Ballad of Jack and Rose,' and my personal favorite, as Klitz in 'The Girl Next Door.' This movie is one of my favorites, despite the more explicit scenes, because I think it's really funny. I could care less about the main storyline, preferring more the subplot which contains Paul as Klitz and his friend Eli :)

However...my all time favorite movie, and also my favorite movie of Paul Dano's...LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE!!!! He became a well-known actor after performing as Dwayne in this film, a partially, voluntarily, mute teenager who wants to become a pilot. This movie really speaks to me, not because the teen boy Dano plays is so easy to emphasize with, but because both Olive, the younger sister, and Frank, the uncle, both speak to me as well.

After getting cast as Dwayne, he was then cast as twins in the film 'There Will Be Blood,' alongside Daniel Day-Lewis. This role earned him a BAFTA reccomendation for Best Supporting Actor. This movie is...odd. I don't really enjoy this movie, but when I do skip around to see all his parts, I like his acting. He's very expressive and I like how much he gets into character :) After TWBB, he went on a hiatus from television and film to pursue a couple of musicals and Off-Broadway plays--one of them being Ethan Hawke's! But once he got back into acting behind a camera, he was instantly cast in the film 'Gigantic,' with Zooey Deschanel (my queen), and then as the goat in the 2009 adaptation of 'Where the Wild Things Are.'
And then, in the 2010s, Dano starred in some of his most notable films. In 'Knight and Day' he played a genius inventor alongside Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, 'Looper' alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and finally, in 'Ruby Sparks,' alongside his (now) wife and the film's writer, Zoe Kazan.
However, my second favorite Dano film is the biopic 'Love and Mercy.' In this film, Paul Dano plays the younger Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. Alongside John Cusack, Paul Dano recieved a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. I, personally, LOVE the Beach Boys, so seeing Paul Dano, my favorite actor playing my favorite singer...it's safe to say I cried a lot.
But what everyone knows Paul Dano from now is his appearance in the 2022 film 'Batman,' as the Riddler. This character, and his portrayal of this character, sparked a craze online--known as Danonation. I...am a proud member of Danonation. I LOVE PAUL DANO!!!!!!!!!!

in conclusion...Paul Dano is an amazing actor, and despite what some people say, can adapt to whatever role he's given. I like him in both his romantic comedies and his darker films...i just LOOOOVE PAUL DANO!!
